1. Address to the Recruiter: Never start with a lazy and outdated salutation of your cover letter  " To Whom It May Concern " that is enough to get your application rejected, rather directly address it to the person who would review the application for your school job as given in the job posting or the advertisement and in case nothing is mentioned, pick up your phone and make a few calls to the school or anyone you know related to the school about the person reviewing the job applications and address your cover letter to the specific person.

2. Clear Statement of Purpose: Don't be extra expressive and superfluous. Keep it simple and straight why you are applying, how you found the job listing and the position.

3. Don't reuse your resume content: There is no need to summarize your resume. Keep your cover letter simple and to the point clearly stating why you are interested in this job.

Don't make your cover letter very formal and add a little bit of personal Creativity. If you have similar teaching experience just mention briefly. In case you have any relevant educational qualification, touch upon that too.

6. Remind your interest and thank the recruiter for his time reading your application.
